Day 1: Arrive in Jakarta – Bogor

Welcome to Indonesia. When you arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta International Airport, we will already be waiting to meet you and bring you to Bogor where you can relax and recover from the long flight. Overnight in Bogor

Day 2 : Bogor  tour & Relax

After your breakfast, we’ll bring you to Kebun Raya, the world famous Botanic Garden in Bogor where where you can find thousands of species of plants and trees from all over the world. It is a peaceful and tranquil place to spend a couple of hours or more. In the afternoon, we can take a walk to a neighbouring village to see local villager activities, or you might prefer to spend some more time at the Kebun Raya. the choice is yours. Stay overnight in Bogor.

Day 3: Bogor – Garut/Cipanas

Check out in the morning and drive to Garut/Cipanas. Stop on the way in Puncak Pass. Before arrive in the hif still enough time possible to stop in Kampung Leles. In the evening you will be able to enjoy the hot spring pool at the hotel so you are relaxed for continuing your journey the next day. Overnight in Garut or Cipanas

Day 4: Garut / Cipanas– Pangandaran

Leave from Garut/Cipanas for Pangandaran. Stop in Papandayan Mt and Kampoeng Naga/Dragon Village on the way to Pangandaran

Day 5: Pangandaran

Pangandaran is famous for the jungle trip in its National Reserve. If you are lucky you might even see some deer looking for their meals. Of course, you can also opt for chilling out and relaxing at the beach and enjoy the fresh seafood. The choice is yours. Stay overnight in Pangandaran.

Day 6: Pangandaran & Relax

If you want to see more traditional villager activities, you can make a village tour where you can witness people making gula jawa, wooden pupet etc. We would also recommend a trip to the Green Canyon, as this is sight not to be missed. Stay overnight in Pangandaran

Day 7: Pangandaran – Wonosobo

In the morning we drive from Pangandaran to Wonosobo via Cilacap. It might be a nice idea, as well as being great fun to do part of the trip by a by boat, in that case we will meet you again in the harbour of Cilacap from where we’ll continue our journey together. If you prefer to do the whole trip by car that’s possible too. Stay overnight in Wonosobo.

Day 8: Wonosobo – Dieng Plateau – Borobudur – Yogyakarta

In the early morning, we drive to the Dieng Plateau to enjoy its spectacular sunrise, crater and scenery, as well as the oldest Hindu temple complex in Java. After this visit, we will continue on our way to Candi Borobudur to explore the largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. It’s a long, but exciting day! Stay overnight in Yogyakarta.

Day 9: Yogyakarta relax and tour

A Visit to the Kraton (Sultan’s Palace) of Yogyakarta is a must when visiting in this city (oh well, only if you wish to of course). In Kota Gede you can see the production of silver handicraft and batik. In the evening, you can be thrilled by the beauty of the Ramayana dance (See our Yogyakarta section for more information on this fabulous performance). Stay overnight in Yogyakarta.

Day 10: Yogyakarta

Explore the beauty of the highest Hindu temple in Indonesia, Candi Prambanan, where you can learn the Ramayana story from carvings on the wall of the temple. As you may not want to miss out on an opportunity to explore the city by becak (bicycle taxi) you can have a free program in the afternoon, alternatively, we could bring you to the places of your choice. It is an option to take a stroll at Jalan Malioboro, which is the famous shopping street in Yogyakarta. Have a look at our Yogyakarta section for some more ideas. Stay overnight in Yogyakarta.

Day 11: Yogyakarta – Solo

Drive from Yogyakarta to Solo to do Cycling tour to Industrial village  to the south east of Solo to see  what Solonese do for living, by visiting : Tofu home Industry, Gamelan ( Javanese Orchestra ) Home Industry, Roof tiles, Arak ( Javanese wine ) process, Tempe ( bean cake ) Afterward drive to Sukuh Village and overnight in Solo.

Day 12: Sukuh

We look forward to you for joining our soft trekking tour programs with itineraries as follow : (1) drive from your hotel to Cetho temple to see the Hindu temple that was built in the last period of Majapahit Kingdom (2) 3 hours walk from cetho to Sukuh temple , then proceed to Sukuh Cottage and stay overnight. (3) visit Sukuh Temple to see the Javanese hindu temple that was built by the Javanese people in the Islam period. (4) 2 hours of walking to the waterfall passing the mountain trek supported by beautiful view of green hills and clean river of the mountain slope. Overnight in Solo.

Day 13: Solo – Malang

A whole day driving from Sukuh to Malang, but you won’t be bored as there’s such are spectacular views of breathtaking landscape around you. So much so, you may wish to make several stops. Just let us know when something catches your eye and we’ll pullover so you can enjoy your ‘discovery’. Before arriving in Malang, we will have a good view of the slopes of the Arjuno vulcano. Malang is known as the apple town since it has a big apple orchard. Stay overnight in Malang

Day 14: Malang tour and Relax

In the morning drive to Wonosari to visit: Tea factory and Plantation in Wonosari (except Sunday). Afterward  drive to Malang town and visit city hall in Malang. From city hall of Malang you can make litle walk to the flower market,  bird market and then to the down town of Malang. Back to the hotel and relax.

Day 15: Malang – Bromo

Check out from the hotel in Malang by car and drive arround 1 hour to Tumpang Town to change with open jeep to Bromo. Drive passing through rain forest, village, walking in savana and kaldera. On the way to Bromo you could stop at a waterfall. Once you arrive at your hotel you can already enjoy the stunning panorama or just relax. As this unusual and spectacular approach to Bromo is only accessible for 4 wheel jeeps your driver and luggage who take a different, but longer, route will arrive shortly

Day 16: Bromo – Kalibaru

In the early morning, at 04.00, you can drive by jeep to the Bromo volcano to enjoy views of the crater. Before doing that, you could also go to the viewpoint at Pananjakan where, if the weather is clear, you can witness a spectacular sunrise. For this nightly excursion we would like to recommend a thick jacket (warm clothing) since at times the temperature can drop to 5 degrees Celcius. When you return to your hotel from this spectacular excursion, you can enjoy a well deserved breakfast, after which we will bring you to Kalibaru. At your hotel you can relax or have a stroll through the plantation grounds. Stay overnight in Kalibaru.

Day 17. Kalibaru

Kalibaru is a place which is most famous for it’s cacao and rubber plantations which you are more then welcome to visit. If not closed (We’ll check that out for you when we’re in Kalibaru), we could also visit the local rubber and cacao factory. Another option would be to make a village tour by dokar (horse cart), but you may just want to relax by the pool of your hotel. you might even choose an adventures trek to the Ijen Crater where you can witness a crater lake of an almost unearthly beauty and watch the locals harvest the sulphur. (For this trip you need to be in a reasonable good shape). We will be there to make it possible whatever you may choose to do. Stay overnight in Kalibaru.

Kalibaru – Bali

This is your last day on Java, so we will either bring you to Banyuwangi from where you can take the ferry to Bali and continue your Indonesian Experience by yourself, or, if you prefer we can join you to Bali and bring you all the way to your next destination where we’ll say our farewells. As you’re already used to by now, ”The Choice Is Yours”.
